Eric Darnell (born August 21, 1961) is an American director who directed Madagascar, performed the voice of Zoo Announcer, Lemur #1, Fossa and Subway Car Announcer in Madagascar. He also directed the sequel Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. He started his career at Pacific Data Images, he worked as director on short films like "Gas Planet" and "Big Smoke" he also directed DreamWorks' first CG film, Antz with Tim Johnson. He worked with Tom McGrath on The Penguins of Madagascar for DreamWorks Television and Nickelodeon.
