Anne Maria Louisa Italino (September 17, 1931 - June 6, 2005), known professionally as Anne Bancroft, was an American actress associated with the method acting school, which she had studied under Lee Strasburg. She lent her voice as the Queen Ant in the animated film Antz which also featured performances from Jennifer Lopez, Sharon Stone, and Woody Allen.
On June 6, 2005, Bancroft died at the age of 73 from uterine cancer.
